Quilt Label Changes!

It doesn't always pay to put a baby's name on a quilt label before he is born!

Little Michael Gideon's parents decided he didn't really look like a Michael Gideon once they saw him.  They decided he looked like a Michael Samuel!

No problem!  I didn't want or have the time to completely redo the label, so I took "Gideon" out:

Not too bad.

Pinwheels and Prairie Points

FINISHED!

For sale HERE  Pattern can be found HERE

Quilter's Journal, Today I am...

... pin basting the pinwheel and prairie points quilt... Going to start FMQing in a few minutes.

The backing fabric I ordered came yesterday, so I will be able to finish it this weekend, if all goes well and list it in my Homemaking Dreams Etsy Shop.

Its raining outside.  Love that I can be home this morning working on a quilt and other home things.

Doing laundry.  Realizing I need to straighten the bins on the shelf!

My stock of laundry detergent.

Hearing:  On the golden oldies channel:  "I'm So Lonesome I Could Die" by B. J. Thomas.  Love it!  Please listen for a minute and be transported back in time.

Wearing:  Still in my jammies which consist of a really soft v necked pink tee shirt and a pair of grey draw string knit pajama pants and Blue Terrie cloth house slippers.  I'll soon go get dressed just in case someone comes or I need to go anywhere... but I'm sure hoping neither happens.

Still drinking half-caff coffee with low fat hazelnut creamer, reheated in the microwave for 30 seconds every few minutes.

I hope to be back later with the free motion quilting progress on the quilt.

Happy Saturday!

New Quilt In Progress...

John 6:12...."Gather the pieces that are left over,  Let nothing be wasted."

I started a new quilt using the leftover fabric from "Eli's Coming".   Click HERE to see Eli's quilt.
This cute pinwheel pattern with prairie points in the border can be found at Moda Bake Shop HERE.

I love the Prairie Points in the border.  These were a little bit fiddly to do, but now that I've learned how to make them I will use them again in the future.

I had plenty of the left over Riley Blake fabric for this quilt top, but will need to order more for the backing.

I'm planning to sell this one in my Homemaking Dreams Etsy Shop.

Weekend Quilting

It was a busy weekend, but I did manage to make these quilt labels before giving the quilts to my daughter for her birthday.

"ELI'S COMING"

"THE GRANDMA QUILT"

Little Pen Pen's idea for the name.

Have a great Monday!

Quilter's Journal - Today I am ...

This post is linked to WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced!

..... Working on the cheddar bow ties quilt.  This is a leaders and enders project, but has almost moved up to a main project.

I am feeling.... excited because I won 8 coordinating fat quarters and 3 patterns from Prairie Moon Quilts as a result of entering the 2013 Spring Quilt Festival and Amy's Creative Side.  You can see all the winners HERE.

I have been to church and one quick stop at the grocery store for bananas.  I had a banana sandwich and tortilla chips for lunch.  Its that time of year when Hubby is working, so he went to work directly after church.

I am wearing tan pants, a pink and brown camp style shirt over a pink tank with crochet edge neckline, brown slip on sandals, and simple hoop earrings.

OOPS!

Will be cutting into these fabrics for more blocks.

Have a great Sunday!
