I have completed two quilt tops this week!!! I am so happy about that. This weekend I will work on getting them prepared for quilting. Next week after work I will have big Brother set up for quilting so that I can quilt after supper.
Did you know you can accomplish many things during commercial breaks? If you are watching a favorite show such as Jeopardy or American Idol (GO SCOTTIE!!), just commit to sprinting into the sewing area and quilt as fast as you can until the commercial is over. This works for many things such as cleaning, decluttering, or whatever it is you are want to get accomplished.
This is "SIDNEY" the fourth baby quilt I have made using this pattern and all of them have been for girls. This one has brighter pinks than the others and quite a bit of green in it. I have named it Sidney because that is the middle name of my brother-in-law who passed away in October who is the grandfather of this baby girl. He knew the baby was on the way when he died, but he did not know it was going to be a girl. He would have been so thrilled and would have loved this child so much. I don't know what the baby's name will be, but the quilt's name is Sidney!
This is "BLUBERI BREEZES" It has been a Leaders and Enders Quilt for several months and finally has been completed. I am still amazed at how many different versions of quilt patterns can be accomplished just by using the lowly nine patch block.

I love the Sidney quilt. Such bright cheerful colors. That little baby girl is gonna love that quilt.
The nine patch is also pretty. You've had a very productive week. I have a television in my sewing room. I usually have it on when I'm in there. I end up listening to it more than watching it.
Both very pretty. You had a great week.
I'm a sucker for blue, so your last quilt (Blueberi Breezes) is my fav. Of course, hot pink is my new second fav and so the Sidney quilt also got my attention.
Thanks for sharing, I'm thinking the pattern you used for Sidney would be a cool and easy quilt to make.

Looks like you have been a very busy lady, LOL. Love the two quilts, what pattern is the baby quilt?
I love the Sidney quilt too. Beautiful both of them.
Such pretty quilts. And, I agree, grab those few minutes to quilt anywhere you can. It pays off.
Beautiful work! I like them both. I have heard of naming a quilt after a baby, but a baby after a quilt??? It might be a first (if it happens).
SIDNEY is beautiful and what a sweet way to name the quilt for that precious baby who will not get to meet her grandpa. I hope she will feel the warmth from his heart everytime she is bundled under her beautiful quilt. I like the Jeopardy sprint idea.... I can just imagine it now. :o)
I'm rooting for Scotty too! :)
Both quilts are lovely and I'm sure will be loved and appreciated!
