In the center of each Quick Quilts issue is a page that showcases quilts made by readers using patterns from the magazine. I decided to enter this picture of the quilt I made using a Quick Quilts pattern called "Cozy Cabins". I named my pink and brown version "Early Autumn". If a person's picture is used in the magazine, you win a free quilt batting and 2 issues of the magazine issue the picture appears in. I'll let you know if my picture makes it into the magazine.
I'll let you in on a secret! THIS QUILT WAS NOT QUICK!!! And besides that I am a Slow Poke Quilter. I've decided to enjoy the process and not put myself under so much pressure to finish a zillion quilts per year. I might as well give into this, because it ain't happening anyway!
In this one I was trying to hide behind the quilt.
I also enjoy the books called "Weekend Quilts". Another secret, there's no such thing as a weekend quilt. Maybe a quilt top, but not the whole shabang!

I love the colors in that quilt. I hope you get your picture in the magazine so that you win the giveaway package. I can't do a good job when I try to hurry and sew. I end up ripping our almost everything.
Gorgeous! I agree and just from looking at it there is no way that would be quick for me. I'm trying to find a quilt I can make in an hour! LOL
You look like Vanna, LOL. I agree, in order for me to get a simple quilt done in one weekend would require being home completely alone with no interruptions and that's not likely to happen (that's okay with me).
I like your choice of pink and brown.
yea - many of those quick projects are not nearly as quick as the pattern says.
just like cooking is not quite as quick as on the tv shows - they don't show all the time it took to shop and prep everything. and clean it up
hope you get picked! my mom gets that magazine
I hope your picture is published; your quilt is beautiful!
I haven't even allowed myself to buy a quilt magazine, let alone subscribe to one. I keep telling myself that there are plenty of "free" patterns online. But I've looked at plenty of them! LOL
Its a beautiful quilt in lovely colours! Hope you get into the magazine :o)
Oooh, I hope you make it into the magazine. If so, let us know so I can buy it. And as far as quick quilts, YOU, my friend, are a quick quilter. Any quilt that takes less than a year to make is a quick quilt, in my book. :o)
Beautiful quilt!!! You are talented. I am looking for a crib quilt for my little grandbaby that is to arrive in September. It's going to be a girl, but I would like to have a quilt with farm animals on it and something that can be used in a little boy's room too. Do you have anything like that? I am following your blog now so please stop by Grace and follow along with me too.
Blessings,
Bren
