Saturday, I got an early start on some sewing projects. By 7:00 A.M., I was almost done pin basting the Sun Bonnet Sue baby quilt I am making.
I am loving having more than one sewing machine set up! I will start machine quilting the Sun Bonnet Sue quilt later today with my Brother Machine. Normally having it set up for quilting would keep me from doing any other kind of sewing. But with my Mama's old machine now in working order after having it serviced, I can sew some other things when I need a break from the free motion quilting.
Here's Mama's machine:
I hope your Saturday is great! I am well on my way to having my first quilt finish of the year. I'm not the fastest quilter in the world, but I'll get some quilts done eventually.

This quilt excites me! I love it!! Did you blanket stitch by hand or did you use your machine? It looks great. We are going house hunting today; we are meeting with a realtor to see this one today: http://www.trulia.com/property/1067998590-265-Farm-Life-Ave-Vanceboro-NC-28586 I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!
Oh, Debbie, that is one beautiful quilt. Mary Beth and Josh will be so happy.
I love Sunbonnet Sue quilts and the colours of yours are beautiful. What are you planning for the quilting?
Cute, cute, cute. That word just resonates with your Sunbonnet Sue quilt!
