WIP Wednesday, Riley Blake Stars

Today is WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.

I haven't been doing a whole lot of sewing lately.  Its just one of those periods of time that we all go through from time to time, I guess.  I want to sew, but there's some kind of mental block that keeps me from making any progress.  Too much going on!

But here is what I'm working on, even if its a very slow process:

A new baby quilt, still using the Riley Blake left overs from "Eli's Coming" and "Pinwheels and Prairie Points".

This is the pattern I am using, except the background will be white instead of the black.

This is a pile of 1 1/2 inch strips to be used for one of the borders.

Here's one boo boo I had to fix. Yikes, I really wasn't paying attention. I lined up the seams and everything.

Happy Wednesday to you!

It is pretty and the colors are just lovely. I had to chuckle as I thought I was the only one who had to use a seam ripper sometimes! :)

I like your stars - recently I attached all four sides of the border to a quilt before seeing I'd sewn two blocks in the center sideways. Funny how we get so focused.

LOL; I've done stuff like that plenty of times. (like when sewing together binding strips..I'll flip it the wrong way!!) I just love the Riley Blake fabric. Did you ever sell the baby quilt you put in your etsy shop?

Cute stars! Sorry about the booboo. Doesn't look too hard to fix though! I made some really messed up x and + blocks once - didn't notice the mistakes (yes multiple!) until it was all put together. That was a doozy. :)

Beautiful quilt! Love the background, maybe even better than the black. What's a quilt without some serious ripping? Waiting to see the finished quilt
