I'm Free Motion Quilting a Queen Size Quilt!

I was scared to try it, but its working!!!!!

Free Motion Quilting a large quilt:

The Set Up:

I put the ironing board in front of the sewing machine at the same height as the sewing machine and a tv tray on the left hand side. This is essential to keep the quilt from hanging over the side and back.

I quilted about 1/3 of the quilt this past weekend and hope to finish it in a week or so.

Excellent! I've done straight line quiling on large quilts and FMQ on small ones. Am FINALLY getting better at it. Hope to expand to larger quilts in the future. You inspire me! :)

Debbie! This looks great! I hope I can be brave enough to try this one day. There is a new quilt store in my area that has long arm quilting machine demo's... I hope to see one of those in action soon.

I have to go back and say I am totally impressed that you quilted this big quilt on your machine. I just finished Avery's quilt (45X 50 something) and it was a CHALLENGE for me to machine quilt! I don't think I can go any larger!
